Concierge Pilates: Bringing Pilates to You, On Your Terms

With so many demands on our time, prioritizing fitness can feel overwhelming—especially when gyms and studios seem intimidating. If fear, worry, or time constraints are holding you back, you’re not alone. In-home Pilates sessions provide everything you need to meet your goals safely and conveniently, all from the comfort of your own space.

Maximized Results

Private sessions are the best way to maximize your results because sessions are individually tailored to your unique needs and goals.

Accountability

Regularly scheduled sessions with an instructor mean someone (me) is waiting for you to show up. This is a powerful motivator that will make you less likely to skip a workout.

Convenience

The top reason people cite for not working out is a lack of time. With private in-home sessions, you can exercise in your own space at a time that suits your schedule. What could be more convenient than that?

how to Train with Me

I really believe in the benefits of concierge Pilates sessions because I know people get the best results when they feel comfortable. Let’s be real—everyone has excuses for skipping workouts, even though we all know how great staying active is for our health. Time is often the biggest hurdle, but I also get that starting a fitness routine can feel pretty overwhelming.

A lot of people end up in classes that just aren’t right for them, and when they don’t see results, it’s easy to feel defeated and want to give up. That’s the last thing I want for you! My aim is to create a fun, personalized Pilates routine that you can do right at home, whenever it fits into your schedule.

I want you to see real results and truly enjoy your journey. After all, you only have one body, and our time here is limited—let’s make the most of it together!

FAQ

As a concierge Pilates instructor, I get asked many questions about Pilates, fitness, and health in general.  Here are some of the most popular questions and my answers.

Q: What is Pilates?

A: Pilates is a mind-body exercise system that utilizes a mat and/or specialized equipment and evolved from the teachings of Joseph Pilates. Pilates is a low-impact modality that is safe and effective for anyone. Low-impact, however, does not mean easy. Pilates is challenging. Pilates classes typically focus on core activation, pelvic stability, strengthening and mobilizing the spine, scapular stabilizing and mobility, correcting alignment and imbalances, as well as release work and stretching.  After teaching Pilates for nearly a decade, I have never met a person who couldn’t benefit from this method.

Q: What is concierge Pilates?

A: Concierge Pilates is a personalized fitness service that brings workouts directly to your preferred location (home, office, or other private spaces). I offer customized training plans, flexible scheduling, and one-on-one attention, providing a tailored fitness experience that fits seamlessly into your lifestyle.

Q: What equipment do I need?

A: I bring all the necessary equipment to you, whether it’s a mat, small props, or even a portable Pilates apparatus. Feel free to share any props or equipment you have at home as well.

Q: How often should I schedule sessions?

A: It really depends on your individual goals and schedule. If you’re starting out, I recommend booking 2-3 sessions a week. This frequency gives you the chance to rest between workouts while still reaping the benefits of regular Pilates practice. If you’re already following a solid fitness routine, one session a week might be sufficient. Ultimately, consider your time and budget, but keep in mind that even one session a week can lead to noticeable results!

Q: I travel often. Can we switch to virtual sessions when I am away from home?

A: Absolutely. I may suggest some small props to bring with you during your travels to get the most out of our sessions.

Q: How much space do I need?

A: We will work standing, sitting, kneeling, and lying down. If you have space to roll out a Pilates mat and stretch your arms out to a “T” from your shoulders, you have enough space.

Q: Can I work out with a friend

A: Absolutely! Duets are a cost-effective way to receive more personalized instruction and are ideal for two friends or family members wishing to take classes together. Duets are still highly personalized to each person’s individual needs and goals plus they can be a lot of fun!

Q: What happens if I have to cancel or reschedule?

A: I have a 24-hour cancelation policy. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, I will charge you for your session. I understand that things come up, so please reach out to me, and I will do my best to rebook you within the same week and avoid losing a session. Please read my full studio policies (Add link)

Q: I have my own Pilates equipment. Can you teach me on my equipment?

A: That’s fantastic! I can definitely teach you using your equipment. As a comprehensively certified Pilates instructor, I’m trained to work with the reformer, Cadillac/tower, chair, and barrels. As long as your equipment is well-maintained and meets industry safety standards, I’d be happy to guide you through your sessions.

Q: Is Pilates right for me?

A: I haven’t met anyone that isn’t right for Pilates.  Pilates is for everyone regardless of age (I have multiple clients 65+), weight, fitness level, or gender (yes, guys, Joseph Pilates developed this method, and he was a man). If you are experiencing active pain or are looking to rehab an active injury, I will refer you to a medical professional first to be assessed before starting a Pilates program.

Q: Do I need to be in shape to do Pilates?

A: NO, (I get this a lot!) “I want to do Pilates, but I need to get in shape first.” Pilates meets you where you are; whether you are an Olympic athlete, a postnatal mom, or 60 and brand new to exercise. The beauty of one-on-one Pilates sessions is that each class is tailored to your specific needs and goals.

Q: Will Pilates tone and strengthen?

A: Absolutely. Pilates is resistance training, ideal for strengthening and toning your body in a safe, low-impact, and effective way.

Q: Is Pilates the same as Yoga?

A: No, Pilates is a unique exercise modality that utilizes the mat and several different apparatuses that provide support and resistance. Both Pilates and Yoga are mind-body exercise systems.  Both use a mat.  Both will help you increase strength and flexibility.  However, Pilates is not just a different type of Yoga.

Q: Does Pilates only work your core?

A: No. While Pilates emphasizes core control and strength, It is, in fact, a total-body workout. At the end of a Pilates session, you can expect to feel your whole body (in the best way possible).

Is Pilates just stretching?

A: See Above

Q: Will Pilates help me lose weight?

A: Pilates may or may not help you lose weight. Any form of movement is great for overall health and weight loss. Pilates is an intelligent form of movement that will challenge you both mentally and physically, which is key for weight loss. However, if weight loss is your ultimate goal, I will refer you to a Registered Dietitian, nutrition coach, or health care provider first. Then, we can work together towards meeting your goals.

I hope this answers many of your questions about Pilates and my in-home training. If you are still skeptical or there is something I didn’t answer, please shoot me an email (add link), and I am happy to help!
